I've ordered a 10x16 shed and building a shed foundation right now. basically i did 8 concrete piers and i'm planning to just run four 4x4 timber posts in parallel. will that be enough of a suppor.... How to build a shed floor. gather the proper lumber to cut your floor joists, rim joists, and 2 two band boards and 4x4 skids. cut all floor joists to proper length along with your 2 rim joists and two band boards and skids. also, cut your 4"x 4" skids to length. lay out your 4" x 4" skids properly spaced and lined up on your foundation. I would use 2 4x4 6' apart or even 7'+. pt should last a long time if they are kept dry. so, the pads must be well above grade and stable, not just placed on the ground..
